2018-2019 B11 Critical Care & Volume Responsiveness
In preparation for your ultrasound small groups please review the following podcasts. I have truncated what I believe is high yield. Please play close attention to the first podcast on the integrated approach to volume responsiveness. It is very good and understanding the physiology involved in volume responsiveness if key. The next two podcasts describe the evidence and specifics on performing IVC index measurements in spontaneously breathing and non-spontaneous breathing patients as well as using ultrasonic markers for cardiac output. You can peruse these podcasts as quickly as you feel. We will go over them more during the small group session. All of these videos are downloadable from this site.
